The escape slash makes it so that you can include certain characters so that it may be able to print out as the way you expected. In the example I have, I am intending for the quotes to show since I cannot use quotes within a quote else it will not print out. Hence, I use the slash next to the pairs of quotes I want so thaty it may show what is being said in the lines from the people.
